Fall of Saigon Exhibition update 28/03/05

March 28th, 2005

Tin’s last day up here, we got up pretty early today and went to Bunnings to get paint and wallpaper glue. We managed to finish Tin’s panels before meeting up with Haline for lunch again in Cabramatta and then making a mad dash to the airport for a 4pm flight.
I came back to finish the background elements to my panels. One of the things about the Powerhouse is that its a scary place if you’re alone in there, your mind plays tricks on you, especially if you have an active imagination. I was constantly thinking of severed heads floating by, gremlins coming out of the toilet, blood rising out of the sinks, spirits floating by behind me and eyes watching me through the windows. I ended up leaving there around 9pm, locking up and walking to my car was a bit tense, the full moon just added to the scariness.

We got a lot done this long weekend, will be back to work some more this week, maybe not at night. Its definitley a great space to work in.
