Mr Brogdan

Wednesday, August 31st, 2005

I’m shocked too at John Brogden’s suicide bid. I’m also shocked at his jib at Bob Carr’s wife. Everything looked so clear and bright for him to be the next premier when Bob Carr resigned. I was fortunate enough to have a parliamentary lunch with John Brogdan a few years ago as part of a vietnamese community group meeting with him. The then president of the NSW Vietnamese community, Dr Tien, (who is now the president of the Australian Vietnamese community) predicted that Mr Brogdan would be the next premier. I guess this shows how quickly things can turn in politics when your life is in the public eye, how one small comment can ruin your whole career.

Hotham 2005

Hotham Pics. Definitely not a good season for snow, we went at seasons end and it didn’t snow at all the last 4 days there. I expected Hotham to be a lot bigger, its half the size of Perisher with half as many lifts and most of the runs steep and blue. A skier lost his life on our second day there.

The Rastabator
The Rasterbator is an awesome little application that turns ordinary images into large scale works of art. PC only though.

Going home from Perisher

Perisher Pics. Snow isn’t great this year at Perisher, the weather has been too warm. We’re headed to Hotham next week, so hopefully it is better further south.

Moving and stuff

Thursday, August 4th, 2005

Was at the snows over the weekend, will post some images soon. Moved into the new work space at Redfern. This Mini post is via the wireless Airport network we’ve set up. Its so cool. It still amazes me how I (hyperthetically) can be on the potty surfing the net and be sending files to another computer in another room over thin air.
