Its my birthday today, I made it an effort to have a quite one this year, no group dinners or drinking or whatever. Frankly, this year hasn’t turned out to be anything to celebrate about, more lows than highs. I guess I’ve learnt a lot this year about life and myself so that’s a good thing.

Spent Saturday morning at the pools with Maurice, swam a slow 12 laps, considering I couldn’t swim 15 metres to save my own life a month ago, thats pretty good. I took stock of all the sporting activites that I do throughout the year for fun and fitness, lets see, Tae kwon do, tennis, snow boarding, ice skating, swimming, roller blading, bike riding and basketball. Swimming and tennis are my latest weekly must do’s. Spent Saturday night at Maurice’s place for a Christmas family/work/party thing, lots of great food and karaoke.

Sunday night I got driven to a dinner at a spanish Tapas place on Glebe Pont road with Haline, Sivear, Lang and Paul. This was a suprise thing and it was very nice of them. Sivear made me a bunch of balloon animals that included two fish, a giraffe, a dog and some palm trees. They got me a 4 lens lomo sampler camera, something I’ve always wanted.
