Mr Mraz

Jason Mraz at the Vanguard
We (Haline, Tilon, Sam, Sivear, Susan, Huynh, Tina, Julien) went to see Jason Mraz at the Vanguard on Sunday night. The night was good overall, He played my favourite song “You and I both” second up but didn’t play his hit “The Remedy”, most of what we heard came from his new album “MR.A-Z. Half way through he got the audience to give him phrases so he could make a song out of them, all the local aussie ones came up, “thats just not cricket”, “where the bloody hell are you” and “I’m a happy little Vegimite”, he pulled it off nicely too, funniest moments of the night. He’s a great entertainer, very easy going with the audience, but at times he tended to talk a little too much. As a venue the Vanguard is not great, but the sound from where we were peaking Mr Mraz, from the top balcony at the back was awesome. The bass from the bongos and the slightless guitar note was very clear. Damn you tall people who had seats in front of us but felt the need to stand up throughout the gig.

Hi I found this post from 2006 of a Jason Mraz concerts in which he played that’s just not cricket. Have you heard the other version of the same melody called ‘Tacos & Mojitos’ that one is also hilarious. Please check this post http://www.funriders.net/robin2007/?p=560 I did a while back. I’ve added a link to your post too.
