Lior at the Enmore Theatre
We went to see Lior end his Australia tour at the Enmore Theatre on Saturday night. As a performer he has mature a lot, he seems more professional and business like this time around. Maybe it was because he was tired or his vocal chords were straining, but this performance didn’t top the one he gave at the Metro. He attracted a diverse crowd of people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, which was a good thing to see considering the political climate we are in today.

This is Daniel

Hotham chairlift
Its winter and snow season again, the forecast this year is that it will be a very dry winter (although its raining as I type this), meaning there won’t be much rain/snow. Its been cold enough so far, fingers cross for a dump when we do go. Here’s a 10 minute video of one of the runs I did last year at Mt Hotham, from the start of the chair lift and back again complete with mini jumps and no stack.

200 Prints
Harvey Normal recently had a promotion where people could print from digital media for 15 cents each limited to 200 prints. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, having your photos on a hard drive or CD is a wast if you can’t share them or look at them readily. I got my 200 back and they look amazing, the colours are vibrant and the tactile tangibility of holding them gives them more life, they solidify your memory of the time they were taken and the events contain within.

So yes, print your digital photos. I’ve done a poster, next will be a mini book from QOOP.

A few pointers I’ve picked up for next time is that most digital cameras take images for a 6×8 inch format. If you have photoshop or an image editing program, crop your images down to 6×4 inch format or you will get some back with heads chopped off. A good way to also get a colourful image back is to adjust the Levels and Curves to knock out the greyness of digital camera photos.

The Night Trainers
I want to start a series of panramic photos based on people training at sports fields at night time called The Night Trainers.
